Inauguration of G.A.I.A. biomethane plant

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of the G.A.I.A. plant in Altamura, Apulia. G.A.I.A.

G.A.I.A. aims at transforming municipal waste (FORSU – Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste) into compost. The inauguration brought together local government representatives, entrepreneurs and project partners.

The state-of-the-art facility is equipped to process different types of waste, ensuring sustainable management and reducing environmental impact.

Among the strengths of the plant are:

• Cutting-edge technology: GAIA integrates innovative technologies for the efficient treatment of waste, providing emission reduction and air treatment, contributing to the overall reduction of non-recyclable waste production and providing a solution for the local community;
• Community Involvement: GAIA relies on the know-how of local actors who have a great knowledge of the area.  

With GAIA, BelEnergia has added a further step on the path towards energy transition.
