Perbel

Perbel was born from a joint venture between Belenergia and the Pertosa family, located in Barletta, and is dedicated to the valorization of agricultural residues. Today, it is at the center of a 500 Sm³/h biomethane project, which will be operational by 2026.

The Perbel industrial site, based in Barletta, is an agro-industrial refinery dedicated to processing residues from olive oil mills and wineries. This facility plays a strategic role for BelEnergia, both for internal supply—providing organic matter to the Enterra and Distilleria Bartin sites—and for enabling the sale of olive oil and second-press grape seed oil.

In 2024, an innovative electrostatic filter was added to improve the plant’s environmental performance, and in 2025 a new dryer will be installed to increase energy efficiency.

Thanks to its location, equidistant from the Enterra and Distilleria Bartin plants, Perbel optimizes logistics flows and ensures broad coverage of the Apulia region for biomass supply.

In addition, a new 500 Sm³/h biomethane plant is under construction and will come online in 2026, further increasing the value extracted from biomass and providing feedstock for other Group facilities.
