Sologne Biogaz

Located in La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, France, Sologne Biogaz is a state-of-the-art biogas cogeneration plant that transforms livestock and agri-food organic residues into renewable energy.

With a capacity of 1 MW, the facility processes around 26,000 tons of organic residues per year, generating approximately 5 GWh of renewable electricity—enough to meet the needs of 1,000 households.

In line with its development plan, Sologne Biogaz will add by 2026 a biomethane upgrading plant with a production capacity of 300 Sm³/h, enabling grid injection of biomethane and further contributing to France’s decarbonization goals.

Thanks to its circular approach, Sologne Biogaz not only produces clean energy but also provides a sustainable alternative for local organic residues, thereby strengthening BelEnergia’s commitment to regional development and environmental responsibility.
