Enterra
Enterra is a cutting-edge biomass power plant owned by Belenergia. With an installed capacity of 13 MW, the facility converts residues into clean electricity, bioethanol, and biomethane.
Advanced multi-output infrastructures
Located in the province of Foggia (Apulia), Enterra exclusively uses vegetable raw materials, processing around 120,000 tons per year of olive pomace, grape marc and stalks, and wood chip residues. These materials feed a biomass boiler-turbine that produces 12.95 MW of renewable energy, enough to meet the consumption needs of thousands of households and reduce the use of fossil fuels.
In addition, the site includes:
- A grape marc dealcoholization unit for the production of bioethanol for sustainable mobility;
- A biomethane production unit (under construction), which will self-produce the plant’s heat and electricity, injecting the surplus into the grid.
By 2025, Enterra will integrate a biogas upgrading system with a capacity of 500 Sm³/h, consolidating its role as a multi-energy renewable hub.
All site improvement projects are 100% carried out by Belenergia’s internal EPC.

Sustainability and Impact
Enterra represents Belenergia’s commitment to a circular bioeconomy, transforming agro-industrial by-products into electricity, advanced biofuels, and heat. This approach not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also promotes sustainable management of agricultural residues in the region, creating value for the agricultural sector and contributing to energy security and decarbonization goals.
